I don't know of any scripture that directly addresses masturbation. I do know though that the Bible says that not all things are benificial, and that whatever we do we should do it for the sake of the lord that it might bring honor and glory to him.
I would have to say that even though it can be argued that manturbation is not technically wrong, it isn't all that benificial. Even though it satisfies your desires for a while they still come back. But you can say no to those desires and put them away and avoid doing something that could be displeasing to the lord and not only get over that temptation, but also do something that glorifies the lord. So you have to ask yourself, "What will bring more honor to God?"
Even though you might not think sexual or lustful thoughts while masturbating, what's to stop you from not doing so the next time? What is going to keep you from picturing someone you know or a woman you saw in a movie or on TV? Nothing, other than yourself. So even if you could masturbate without sinful thoughts, why keep putting yourself in a situation where you will be tempted to sin. I do know that the Bible says not to do that.
So really it all comes down to wheather or not you are willing to drop a habit that isn't doing you or God any good. Because you can't put anything before God, you might want to think long and hard about this. Are you willing to give up shallow self pleasure to keep from possibly offending God? If you do then I can be sure that in some way the lord will bless you for it.
