Hi. My name is Stacey. I live in Okinawa because my husband is in the Marine Corps. I joined the Navy in 1993 and in bootcamp everyone was basically encouraged to use some sort of birth control and they really pushed the Deppo shot. It was the biggest mistake of my life. I gained about 80 pounds.I became severely depressed and had to take anti-depressants (which I am currently taking again) I can no longer have a normal period. I have tried BC pills to get it started and nothing works.I wont have a period at all OR Ill have a really heavy period with huge blood clots that last for up to 3 weeks. I had to take fertility drugs just to get pregnant with my two boys.I did get pregnant once in between my two boys without the use of fertility drugs and I had a miscarriage!! Now that it has been nearly 8 years later, Im STILL having the same problems. This shot has totally ruined my life. My moods are constantly going up and down due to my hormones being totally messed up (Im guessing). I have hot flashes just like Im going through menopause. Now that Im 26 years old and have two boys, I had a tubal so I wouldnt get pregnant again and Im trying to find a Dr. to just give me a partial hysterectomy so I can try to get back to a normal life. Unfortunately, noone is willing to listen to me or help me but Im still trying.
