Stopped pills and now no period

I stopped taking the pill ( Ortho tri-cyclen) at the end of March because I want to get an IUD put in. I am now a week and a half overdue for my period. It always came like clockwork on the pill (I was on it for 2 years) but before I started the pill, my periods were heavy and very irregular. Could my body just be adjusting back to its old cycle? My husband and I have only had sex once this month, and we used a condom AND he pulled out, so the chances of me being pregnant are very small...I just wanted to know if it's normal for a woman's period to be late when she first goes off the pill.
