I had social phobia in 8 years, now i couldn't study, have friend and alway torturous. Can i still overcome it, im really exhausted now since my mind was unable to thinking anything else after long whole day anxiety. I afraid to talk in phone, public.

Yes, you can overcome social

Yes, you can overcome social phobia no matter what age you are. Social phobia could be caused by many different things, such as a bad social experience like bullying at school or being teased. Or it can be caused by a predisposition to shyness. However the disorder is maintained by avoidance and false beliefs about how you appear to others. The trick to overcoming social phobia is to stop avoiding, develop a more realistic perception of how others see you, and stop doing safety behaviors. But like so many disorders this is much easier said than done, so you will probably need a therapist to help you out. Look for someone with lots of experience helping problems like yours. And never give up.

Best of luck,

Thanks a lot doctor for reply

Thanks a lot doctor for reply my question with very useful information. But English is not my first language, I cannot sure i will have full effective of treatment from doctor. Moreover, I'm a student, so how can i deal with the cost of treatment if it costs me more than my ability to pay. Those are main obstacles which prevent me to find a doctor. Since, everyday in school is my horrible experience.I felt my anxiety gradually more serious. Badly, I don't want my family know my anxiety so that they didn't know why i looked sad, stress, and unhealthy day by day. I could see my anxiety effect a lot to my family members since now the air of family is heavy and stressful. I'll never give up but please help me what's the procedure for the situation..appreciate a lot.
