One more thing gay people and gay things make it come back then I start asking meself again. Or is this a phase or am I gay. Thanks please answer ASAP please.
Hi Animal123, I did not say
Hi Animal123,
I did not say you have HOCD. I said, and I quote, "It sounds like you have symptoms of HOCD, and it doesn't sound like you are gay." I did not give you a diagnosis, and I agree, no one should without seeing you and doing a full evaluation.
You described symptoms of HOCD - whether you actually have it or meet all the criteria for a diagnosis is beyond the scope of what I can offer on this website. I want to be very clear about that.
Saying "yeah, whatever" to the thoughts may work occasionally, but for anyone who actually has OCD it takes a lot more than that. Obsessive thoughts (as you have discovered) can be very persistent and compelling.
That's why I recommended that you work with a therapist who is trained in treating OCD with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - it's the best therapy for helping you learn to manage the obsessive thoughts, etc. that you are experiencing. Since your anxiety is affecting your sleep, I hope you are able to get the treatment you need.
I hope my response this time is much clearer. I apologize that you took my original response as a "diagnosis". That was never my intent. And, to answer your last question, no one posting here can tell you if you "have HOCD 100%". You need to have a full evaluation for that. That is beyond the scope of this question and answer section of this website.

Based on what you describe, I
Based on what you describe, I am inclined to think you are straight and have symptoms of HOCD. But, again, I cannot say for sure because I have not met you nor evaluated you.
