Quick Question

Hi Dr.Lane,

I just had an interesting thought, I asked myself, if I was really gay, than why would I be getting so much anxiety? I mean the anxiety and panic is so bad, I feel like I might go into cardiac arrest sometimes (I was born with a mitro valve prolapse). I mean do real gays get so much anxiety when they are around men that they feel like they will get a heart siezure? I mean, if I was really gay, I would probably die from a heart attack before I could even look at another dude in the eye. Which probably means Im not gay. Anyways, I know what real attractions feels like, and you sure dont get a friggin cardiac arrest from loving a girl. So here is the question: Do real gay people get horrible fears and panic and anxiety when around the same-sex? Do they feel like they are being tormented, not by others, but by their own mind? Do gays see homosexuality and HOCD as an enemy that they must defeat in their mind?
