A psychiatrist specializes in problems of the mind and a sleep disorder would fall into that category. While regular physicians sometimes know how to treat mental disorders, for the most part it is better to see a psychologist or psychiatrist for most mental disorders. A psychologist can diagnose and treat people via various talk and behavioral methods while a psychiatrist is good for administering medication.

If this sleep issue is having a big impact on your life you should definitely see a mental health professional about it sooner rather than later. Acting out your dreams could be dangerous. It may be something minor, but from the sounds of your description, it might be something more troubling and should be diagnosed as soon as possible.

Best of luck,
