Is it safe to change medication

Is it safe to change from Deporoc to Lorien?

Hi Tanya, I am not familiar

Hi Tanya,

I am not familiar with either of these medications, although it appears "Deparoc" is another name for the SSRI antidepressant paroxetine (most commonly marketed as Paxil here in the U.S.) As for "lorien", there must be another spelling for that, but I don't know what it is so I wasn't able to find any information on it. Unfortunately, medications are sold under different brand names in different countries, and I am familiar only with the U.S. names.

You didn't say why you want to switch to that specific medication. But, if the Deparoc isn't working for you, or if you can't tolerate the side effects, or if it's too expensive, then definitely talk to your doctor. He or she can determine which options would be best for you. Your doctor will have your medical history and all the other pertinent information that's necessary to answer your question accurately.
