Thanks John.
There are 3 categories of birth prevention (assuming sexually active):
1. Murder - Commonly called "abortion," which is an euphemism. Mechanical, surgical, chemical and hormonal abortion are all murder. Mechanical is IUD, which seems to work by irritating the lining of the womb, which is a hollow muscle, so that embryos are prevented from implanting, and if one should implant, to cause it to be dislodged and cast out to its death. Surgical cuts the baby to pieces. Chemical poisons her to death (saline, [prostaglandin). Hormonal causes the baby to be rejected by the endometrium (lining of the womb) either before or after implantation.
2. Onanism - This is engaging in otherwise natural sexual intercourse then interrupting the sperms from entering the womb. May be done as Er and Onan did, by withdrawing before climax and then ejaculating outside the vagina. May use mechanical barriers such as the condom, diaphragm, cervical cap (mini-diaphragm), or may use combined mechanical and chemical, the gels, pastes, creams and foams. Then there is so-called "Natural" Family Planning, scheduled abstinence. In this method the state of the cervix is determined by a combination of rhythm (calendar), basal temperature and cervical mucus methods, or any one or two of them. Semen is deposited in the vagina ONLY when it is determined that the cervical os (opening to the womb) is closed, using it as a natural "diaphragm" in a manner of speaking. The result is the same in all cases - the life-generating fluid of the male is cast out "on the ground" either immediately or through the sewer or garbage disposal.
3. Mutilation - Surgically or chemically damaging or removing all or part of a reproductive organ to prevent it from functioning.

While we are casting blame about, it was the Roman Church that first approved contraception - the rhythm or calendar scheduled abstinence method, the first part of what was later termed "NFP." The Anglo-Catholic Church was next to approve of, in addition to rhythm, all means of contraception. The Anglican Church, while it calls itself "Protestant," is not really part of the Protestant reform movement. It was founded by Henry VIII, who despised the Protestant reformers, and who started the Anglican Church because he wanted to get rid of his wife and the pope would not approve him to get a divorce.
Historically the Protestants were on the whole determinedly opposed to any kind of family size limitation, as Christians have been from the earliest records of Christian writings.
The Jews had approved of contraception for centuries. An absorbent, specifically a wad of wool ("moch") stuffed into the vagina so that the cervix is covered, was approved (Talmud) for use by girls between the ages of 10 and 11. The only reason approved was to prevent conception in very young girls who were just entering adolescence so that their health was not endangered. Girls younger than 10 were not considered generally to be fertile, so they did not need a moch, and by age 11 they were able to safely bear children, so the moch was disapproved. Birth control for the purpose of avoiding procreation was condemned, as every good Jew was expected to beget all the children he was able to.
Abstinence from sexual intercourse by married persons was condemned in strong terms unless due to heavy persecution the family was disrupted. Though the duty of procreating was placed on the man, every wife, concubine and slave girl was expected to produce many young Jews for Israel. Temporary abstinence for persecution reasons is also approved by Paul apostle.

Notice that while simple fornication is disapproved in the Bible, there is no penalty imposed for sexual intercourse with an unmarried, unbetrothed virgin girl but a small fine to be paid to her father along with an offer of marriage.
Many young women carry a sense of sexual modesty in that they will fornicate they will not use any kind of birth control. The use of birth control is perversion, a crime against nature and God, nature's Creator, while fornicating is merely the result of a God-given natural desire expressed improperly. To go "prepared," such as being on the "Pill," carrying a diaphragm, having an IUD installed, etc., constitutes premeditation while fornicating on the spur of the moment in the heat of passion is felt to be merely the weakness of the flesh.

Devout Christian women have refused contraception (and abortion) all through the centuries, no matter what the circumstances. Great numbers have been raped and refused any poison ("pharmakeia" - potions to prevent conception or cause abortion) or method of preventing offspring.

We do not judge the unbelievers; they stand condemned already. Christians are to judge our fellow Christians, edifying and rebuking as appropriate, that our brethren not fall astray. We are not here to try to get infidels to behave as Christians should, though we bless God when an unbeliever is influenced to improve his behavior by our examples.

Christian men, do not use any artifices or skills to prevent conception. Do not damage your bodies, the temple of the Spirit. Be available to satisfy your wives' sexual needs.
Christian women, do not use any artifices or skills to prevent conception. Do not damage your bodies, the temple of the Spirit. Be available to satisfy your husbands' sexual needs. Let the Lord be Lord not only of your heart but of your womb.
Christian young people, avoid fornication. If you do slip, do not compound your error by worse sins but accept whatever blessing the Lord may see fit to give you.

>> I see this site has a lot of the recent protestant apostacy that birth control pills may be ok.

>> I'm a protestant convert to the catholic church because a strong part of the catholic leadership has never fallen for the protestant herisy of birth control.

>> We have scientific studies in canada that human birth control is deforming fish genetically.

>> I pray every chance I get for my protestant neices who are taking birth control chemicals, killing themselves and genetically altering their future children under the approval sometimes of the protestant church ministers.

>> God have mercy on our souls.
