I have just read foolishness in the previous reply and decided, against myself, to add my comments and advice here. My main comment will be based on the above comment that thinking of sinful thoughts, for example looking at women lustfully, is not a sin but a guideline set in place to prevent sin from coming about in the near future.

As was written in the bible and almost every single religious doctrine, including Buddhism, human beings were given gifts of the sprit (as they are called in the Bible) allowing mankind to influence the reality in which they live in. Paul was very clear on this subject, people were given gifts, or powers if you will. These gifts are given to us reglardness of religion. This is why we see Asian healers who are able to cure diseases, cuts and even cancers just by placing their hands near the patient. (I have personally observed and received such healings) They gifts are activated by the power of our imagination, or if you rather the term, the power of our mind. Just by thinking about something you are setting into a motion a series of events that may or may not come true. Regardless of whether they do or not, you have just requested that they do come true, and this kind of request is usually much stronger than the average person's prayer. This is true because prayer also requires one to focus their mind purely on God, purely on what kind of love they wish to pass to another. Selfish prayers are never answered because they never leave your mind, trapped by your own ego. Instead you are invoking, or trying to invoke, one of the gifts of the spirit, usually in this case the one of miracles. Fortunately, most people are not strong enough in mind to actively make these wishes come about, but never the less, you have requested it. Re-read the bible, focusing on what Jesus said, not did. He spoke of these things very clearly and plainly. This is why he warned us not to even think of such things or we are as guiltly as if we had done them. (Yep, he said it, look it up.)

Have a nice day filled with the truth of life.
