I have been off the pill (after 10 years) for two months. Each month my period lasted only two days and was very light. We would like to try to get pregnant this year. How long should I wait before trying? I fear that the light periods mean I am not ovulating.

>>It may be several months before your periods return to normal after being on the Pill; this is not uncommon. However if you suspect you might be pregnant, you should get a pregnancy test at once. If you are having severe pain on one side you should see a doctor right away as this could be a symptom of ectopic (tubal) pregnancy, a life-threatening condition.

>>>>I recently went off the pill (one month) and this week I was to have my period, but I did not get it. It was always right on time while I was on the pill, and now I am 3 days late. I had symptoms of bloating (more then normal) terrible headaches, and a pain on the left side of my abdomen. Could this just be the side effects from going off the pill or would it be more likely that I could be pregnant?
