I started on depo 3 months ago, and just had my second shot today. I also experienced the mood swings, depression and overwhelmed feelings that the others have talked about. I do get spotting during the time that I would have my period, but nothing like it used to be. I think depo is a great option for me. I was told by my doctor and friends who have been on depo that once the initial shot has been in your body, the ones that follow will not cause the same effects since by this time your body will be used to the drug. I hope you all have a better outlook on this, since with any form of birth control, there will be side effects. With depo I think it is much more convenient and a better method overall.
