At any rate, the good news is that if you do have Roscea and you can find a dermatologist who agrees, there is a prescription product known as Metro (lotion, gel and something else are the choices) that you put on your face 2 times a day to decrease blood flow. Between the prescription and finding the worst irritants and removing them from your life as best as possible, I have had great success.
I am a little worried because I am going on birth control and I dont' know how my face will react, but hopefully it will be good. Good luck to you!
>>>>I have been on ortho-tricyclin for over 3 months now,and my acne is even worse then it was before! I was told that I'd see results in 3 months...however, all my results are negative, not positive! I am so angry because I have been on various prescribed products for 5 ys now and nothing has helped me. I have been using proactiv off and on for years now and that does not seem to help me either. I have the kind of acne where once I get a pimple( and I have thousands of them) the pimple lasts quite a long time and then once it disappears, it leaves behind a bright red, or dark purple mark. These marks must last up to a year each. My dermatologist says she doesn't know what kind i have...does anyone know and if so, what can I do to help it!?
>>Check out webmd.com there is an informative about acne section that talks about different kinds and has some diagrams. It also talks about different treatments for the different kinds, oral and topical antibiotics, hormonal treatments, accutain etc. I also think that if your dermatologist doesn't know that maybe you should switch. good luck!
