>>Geez, you guys got it bad! I guess everybodys different. I got my depo shot and I admit that I also had side effects. I was very sleepy and had depression for about a week, and that was it!!! After the first week I was good to go. I have no periods and am baby free!!!

You are saying the exact same things I used to say. I was on the shot for 3 years and didn't have a period. I tried to tell all of my friends who were on the pills to get the shot. I said it is 99.9999% safe and you don't have to deal eith a period. I din't start having side affects until the end of my 2nd year. I got acne really bad, weight gain, leg swelling, migranes...all of which I never experienced before the shot. I decided to get off the shot and start on birth control pills. That was 10 months ago and I STILL DON'T HAVE A PERIOD. I am not producing eggs so who knows if I will be able to have children. My doctor said she is baffled, but I highly doubt that because I have read a lot of horror stories on the internet about not being able to get pregnant after 2 or 3 years and women still not have a period aget 4 or 5 years. I can't deal with this stress. I hate taking a pregnancy test every month and I hate my body not being regulated like it was before the shot. Get off it now, before it does serious damage. Did you know that in 1972 the dep shot (in higher doses) was first used to sterilize criminals. In 1990 they lowered the dose and pawned it off as a birth control method!!!!!!!!!!!!
