My experience is as follows: I have been on the depro vera shots since January of 2000. I have not had a period since. I have some spotting about every 4-6 months that last about 5 days. I have not had a weight gain problem-but I run 3 miles a day-so I'm sure that helps. I do have 1 major problem-which I have not attributed to the shop until recently. My sex drive has gone to zero. I dont desire sex EVER. When I do have sex, its not at all enjoyable because the desire isnt there. I have been in a relationship for over 9 years & this has put a gigantic strain on it. I have been on Ortho Tri-Cyclene- It worked well- but I had a problems remembering to take it on a daily basis. My next shot is due July of 2001. I am thinking about looking for other options- It seems as though it has affected many people, many different ways. The only way to know if it is for you is to try it.
