>> No one told me the long term effects of the depo shot not even my doctor. I only had 3 shots then my husband and I decided we would like to have a baby. Then I found out it could take 6 months to a year to even have my period again and there is nothing the doctor can do you just have to wait it out. Its very depressing. If you want to have kids or you dont I would advise anyone not to go on the deprovera shot!!!! I have been on the depo-shot since feburary of 1999 right after the birth of my daughter since then i have let the shot overlap twice and each time my period has returned within one-two months of going over the due date of the next shot now it has been alittle different though instead of a regular period like i usually had i only spotted for about three days the last times that i only spotted was each time i became pregnant!!! I had a pregnancy test done a few days after that and i came back negative so i went ahead and got the shot now i am experiencing symptoms of maybe being actually pregnant or it could be the side effects of the shot... If i am pregnant and am ofn the shot what could it do to my baby some one please r-mail me and let me know thank you concerned for the unborn in MO.
