>>No one told me the long term effects of the depo shot not even my doctor. I only had 3 shots then my husband and I decided we would like to have a baby. Then I found out it could take 6 months to a year to even have my period again and there is nothing the doctor can do you just have to wait it out. Its very depressing. If you want to have kids or you dont I would advise anyone not to go on the deprovera shot!!!!
I am 23 years old and just started taking the shot 4 months ago. I've done nothing but bleed since my first one, they (my doctors) told me to try a second shot to make me "balance" out. So I did, yes I'm still bleeding. To top it all off I also have crazy mood swings that I never had before, yes I can cry on que to now. It's done nothing but make my relationship hell. I'm always on edge and so defensive, I can't stand myself. So I have decided no more for me, and I hope girls visit this site to get a idea of what they could expect.
