>>>>I am living the same nightmare! I was on the shot from May 1995 to June 1999 and I had no period that whole time. I got married in June of 1999 and stopped taking the shot.I never got my period back until May of 2000. That was 5 years with no period. My husband and I want a baby so much but I was told it could take up to 1 1/2 years AFTER I got my period to conceive. I would never suggest this birth control method to anyone. It has caused me nothing but misery.

>>I have been taking depro for about 1 year now. When I got my second shot I couldn't stop bleeding so I switched from depro to the pill. I was on the pill for about 4 months and then decided to give depro another try. And again after the second shot I haven't stopped bleeding. It has now been 3mths. I am scheduled for a shot on the 5 of August. I just wanted to know if i has happened to anyone else.

I have been taking depro for six years and the doctors have told me it will take about six months your stories have shocked me. As when ever I was late for the injection they would say to use double preotectionas I may not be protected after being married a year I would really love to start a family does anyone if ir really does take long I have been of Six months now and did nothaev one period in the six years on it
