Both my sister in law and now possibly me have become pregnant WHILE TAKING depo-provera. I have three children and wanted LONG term birth control, however, I started spotting and have severe pain in my lower abdoman and back. Now the doctor thinks I not only might be pregnant, but it might be an ectopic pregnancy. I was told that depo-provera was more effective than both female and male sterilization and now I have to worry about whatever dangers are posed to my unborn baby if I am indeed pregnant not to mention dangers to myself for having to have surgery if it is an ectopic pregnancy or if not, then another C-section when the time comes. I know I will positavely love another baby, but am terrified of what lays ahead. Anyone else have similar problem? Please e-mail me at [email protected] and let me know what to expect. Thanks!
