Come April I will have been off of Depro Vera for 2 years. I know exactly the hell you are going through. The only thing I found to relieve the paralyzing anxiety was yoga. I also was seeing a therapist at the same time. I only took one shot and went from a size 3 to a size 12. No amount of diet, exercise, or rivers of water that I drink daily effects the weight. The best I have been able to do is keep my weight at 130lbs. I used to weigh 110 or less. Don't lose hope in regards to your mental state. Just get off the drug, avoid caffeine for a while, drink calming teas, light candles or whatever mellows you out, try tai chi in the shower, get a book called "The Anxiety & Phobia Workbook" and hold on. It's going to take a long time to get your feet back on solid ground but don't give up hope. You owe it to your kids to be a sane, happy mom. When you finally do emerge from this "test of fire" beleive me, there won't be anything that you can't overcome. You'll be all the wiser and stronger for it.
