I too took the shot three times and then wanted to have a baby. However, the docter could help a little. After three months of trying I went to the doctor. He prescribed premarin and then provera. This got my periods back. I then was tested to see if I was ovulating and found out that the shot got rid of that too. They put me on clomed and now I am ovulating and have my periods still. Now I have to be patient and wait. We have been trying for 8 months now. I guess you could say that the average time to get rid of the deprovera medicine is about up since I have been trying for almost a year. I have decided to only use condoms after my next baby. I do hope that this information will be helpful to someone.
