I am currently on my 2nd shot. I am miserable. Some of the things that I am experiancing are: Weight gain (10 pounds), NO sexual drive, No lubrication when I do, mood swings, irritability, aching joints (specifically in one of my knees and my shoulders), fatigue ( I am tired all the time), and I have been on a continuous light period for 7 weeks now. I was not told about some of the side effects. The main thing I was told was that I would cease to have a period. I have to hand it to the doctors, telling women that is a good way to sell the shot. I mean, what woman likes to be on her period! Well, it was a lie. I called my doctor and told him what was going on and he told me that I should come in for my next shot and that the fatigue might be from all of the blood loss. Well, hello, that doesn't sound good to me! I told my doctors nurse I don't think I will be coming in for the next shot. I would be willing to write whoever and sign whatever to make sure that this is not advertised as a safe form of birth control. Some women do not have the side effects but I am willing to bet that over 70 percent of them do. Until
