I took the shot about two years ago. The one shot I took launched me into
a deep depression that almost destroyed my relationship with the man who is
now my husband. When I went to an acutal gyn instead of Planned Parenthood last
year, she said I had not estrogen in my body and, at age 22, was basically in
menopause. She put me on the pill. I just quit taking it and guess what--
my period is again gone and I'm back in the deep depression! I blame this on
the depo-provera! It is a dangerous drug that needs to be banned! The stupid
shot is still ruining my life! I have been on the pills before and gone off them
I did not have these problems the times I've gone off them before! >>��No one told me the long term effects of the depo shot not even my doctor. I only had 3 shots then my husband and I decided we would like to have a baby. Then I found out it could take 6 months to a year to even have my period again and there is nothing the doctor can do you just have to wait it out. Its very depressing. If you want to have kids or you dont I would advise anyone not to go on the deprovera shot!!!!
