Dear Lynette,

I have been diagnosed with POD for slightly over 2 years now. Since then, my Doctor has been prescribing me Diane 35. In the beginning, I noticed a lot of changes such as lesser hair growth and better skin. However, of late, I have realized that I have developed a Vitamin B deficiency, (which I have read on journals and articles on the Net, but my Doctor insists that the deficiency is not due to the Contraceptives), cellulite deposits as well as increased weight although my food intake has always been the same. Last week, I went to see my Doctor again and he has decided to swtich me to Mercilon since Diane 35 has not been very effective for me of late. However, only today, while surfing to find out more information about Mercilon, I understand that it's a 3rd generation Pill and women on this Pill have a higher risk of blood clots. Now I am wondering, whether I should heed my Doctor's advice and start on Mercilon ? Anyone out there ever taken Mercilon?
