Hello Donna-I am 34 years and in February 2001 my doctors found 3 tumors in me. The first thing out of my doctors mouths were, we need to run some more testing to see if you need chemotherapy. I have 2 little boys and at the time I was a single mother, who was planning her wedding in September and getting ready to go into her final year of college. I thought my world had caved in on me. I was on the shot for 3 years and was told that I would never lose weight while taking this shot, so November of 2000 I came off the shot to lose weight for my wedding. That is when the nightmare began. My mom began talking to people and found out some good information. A friend of ours, was going thru the same things but she had cervical cancer and lumps in her breast. She went and got a second opinion, the doctor told her that they are finding more lumps and problems in women that are taking these shots. Well, to make a long story short....On June 8, 2001 at 7am I went in for major surgery and had all of my thyroid removed because there were 2 lumps there that had tripled in size with in a matter of weeks while being tested for cancer. The other lump that was in my cervix, which was taken care with other treatment. I was never so scared in my life, the thoughts that go through one persons head was also scaring my boys, especially my 7 years old who is my oldest. I would never recommend this shot to no one......all of my friends have stopped taking this shot since my findings. There our doctors in towns close by that refuse to give this shot also.
