I just got my first shot yesterday , after having my second child. I was on depro-provera about 2 years ago but only got one shot. It took me about 1 year to get pregnant again after the birth of my first child. Whether or not this was just the way it happened or if it anything to do with the shot I'll never know. Also, it is documented that 54% of women using depro-provera got pregnant after only 6 months of having stopping the use of this birth control.After 12 months, the number was 76% and after 24 months the number was 92%. These numbers are not in great difference from people who were on the pill. Hope this eases your mind.
