hello Patricia, my name is Venus Wonch I was responding to your post because
I too was taking Depo-Provera, but in October 2000 I developed massive blood
clots in my lungs, also called pulmonary embolism. I had began the shots in
october 1997. The clots in my lungs were so severe that I almost died. I
was admitted to the hospital because I could not breath, I went into cardiac
arrest twice and had to be bagged and was on respirator and I spent week in the icu
I too like you had the unsual brusing on my legs and body, and now have been
dianogised with an right ventricular enlargement of my pulmonary heart valve
caused by the clots in my lungs. I wanted to know if anyone else on this site
or on depo-provera has had problems with clots, specifically pulmonary embolisims
because all of the doctors that I have talked to say that depo doesn't cause
clots, but I have done my own research and found that not to be true and I
would appreciate any information you or anyone else on this site could give me
on depo and blood clots or what web sites I can go to get information on
actual cases of people developing clots or Pulmonary embolisms caused by
depo-provera.thank you
