I am sorry to hear about your situation. I know this must be a tough time losing someone that you care about. It is not surprising that you don't like your life and your job, because when you feel depressed like this it spreads over to everything else in your life. It is like wearing a pair of cloudy glasses -- everything looks gray.

The best thing you can do right now is to try to learn from your situation. Why did your girlfriend leave you? Are there things about you she didn't like? Are there things about yourself you need to change? Having a frank conversation with her about these things will be painful, but you may learn a great deal and may prevent this from happening in the next relationship.

Best of luck,
