I suffer from anorexia/bulimia and I need a medication! I know I have OCD. It runs in my family. Any suggestions for a STRONG medication to help give me some PEACE?

Treatment for anorexia

Treatment for anorexia nervosa often includes medication and psychotherapy. Medication can help, but it is not a complete cure. There is no drug alone that can take away an eating disorder. Cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal therapy seem to be most effective treatment. Most people with anorexia should have individual AND family therapy, as family interactions can contribute to the problem. Many anorexics can be successfully treated if they receive treatment early. However, others struggle with the disease throughout their lives.

Anorexics should be hospitalized if they suffer malnutrition, as the disorder can be life-threatening. In fact, it is a serious disorder and many people with anorexia die of starvation, suicide, or medical complications. Get comprehensive help right away.

Best of luck,
