No, there is a difference between being gay and a type of OCD where your obsessions revolve around a fear of being gay. If you are gay and staying in the closet, that is completely different from and having a type of OCD that is about sexual orientation concerns – which, as you know, is often called HOCD (homosexual obsessive compulsive disorder).

Keep in mind that constantly asking questions like this can be a form of checking and reassurance in and of itself, which only strengthens your OCD.
