I am sorry to hear about the problem with your hip and I hope things are going well for you now. It is normal to feel anxiety or apprehension after experiencing something as potentially debilitating as a broken hip. However it sounds as if you are a bit stuck in a bit of a rut of worry following this experience. What will get you untuck is to face your apprehensions straight on. If there are things you are avoiding out of fear, make a point to do these things regularly. Take some risks and be adventurous -- focus on enjoying the moment and not getting stuck in a ruminative cycle of "what if." Focus on the present. If these worries persist than you should see a therapist.

Best of luck,
Dr. Williams
