What can I do to heal from my depersonalization if no doctor knows how to treat me??

Sometimes half the battle is just finding a doctor that knows how to treat your problem. There are many effective cognitive behavioral techniques for treating depersonalization disorder. You need to look specifically for a psychologist that has experience in that area. For example, you can go to the ABCT website and click on "find a therapist." Check the box for dissociative disorders and 20 therapists come up. See if any of these are close to where you live. If not, call the closest one and ask if he or she can give a referral in your area. Chances are you will be able to find someone who can help you, although this may take some looking. Worst case scenario is that if you can't find someone to treat your dissociative disorder, a nearby therapist can at least help you learn to accept these uncomfortable but harmless sensations.

Best of luck,
