About Me
- Bio
I am a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in New York City, specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.
In my work as a psychologist, I assist adults dealing with anxiety and mood disorders, difficulties handling stress, and health-related difficulties. I specialize in the use of cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness.
Cognitive behavioral therapy is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on our thoughts and our actions as a way to bringing about change. Cognitive behavioral therapy has been shown to be the most effective type of psychotherapy for several different types of anxiety and other problems.
Mindfulness is a skill that was originally developed in the context of meditation practice, but mindfulness has also been shown to be helpful for people suffering from stress, anxiety, and difficult emotional experiences. Mindfulness and related skills are used by a growing number of psychologists in their clinical work.
