Disney Star Seeks Treatment for Cutting

demi-lovato.jpg

Disney star, Demi Lovato, seeks treatment for cutting and other emotional issues:

"It’s been on the news, television tabloids, and plastered across the newsstands. The popular teen Disney star Demi Lovato recently entered a treatment center seeking help with “emotional and physical issues” according to a statement released by a representative.

The statement didn’t address exactly what the issues are but someone close to the situation told The Associated Press that the problems included an eating disorder and cutting. This was later confirmed.

A serious problem for any young lady but Lovato’s celebrity status shines even more light on this alarming and growing problem among young adults . . . especially young women.

We’re living in a world where deadly disorders receive celebrity status.

That sounds harsh, but it’s true."
