Provera and pregnancy??

Doctor put me on Provera to get my periods going again they were off for about 5 months. So then I had my period and then she put me on the pill(so that my periods would regualte) but me and my husband want to get pregnant so that was unnerving news. She told me to take them to regualte my periods but in that time there is no way of getting pregnant :( A friend of mine got pregnant 2 months ago by just skipping a few pills right around if you were not on the pill ovulation time and then got pregnant like that..I just started taking them 4 days ago I my ovulation period is Friday-Sunday if I skip lets say Friday and Sundays pill what is the chance that I will get pg??? I don't want to discontinue the pill because I don't want to wait a few months for my period me and my husband have been trying for too long....Any help would be great thanks...
