I was on the shot for 11 months, November 2000. I was due to receive a shot and didn't take it. I am 12 weeks pregnant today Sept. 16, 2001, and there is complications there is no baby in the sack it's empty, the baby didn't form or grow as a result in using the depro provera shot, I thought my baby was fine but it didn't grow because I used the depro. It is a fact that it affects your uterus and stops the growth of your baby and all that forms is a sack and it's full of fluid and no baby is in sight. This is a big concern for me due to the fact I was expecting to have a baby and there was no form of life due to this birth control we are using. I advise if you do want a family discontinue using that form of birth control until further notice. The Doctors doesn't explain and neither does the company that actually it's a sterile drug that's used to destroy the uterus lining and decrease any sign of life form.(ER form reads for some unknown reason, your baby stopped developing at an early stage. At this point, you have an empty sac without a baby, and there is no further chance for growth. You will most likely have a miscarriage, however you may need to have a D & C if a miscarriage doe not occur).
