>>I had my first Depo Provera shot six weeks after having my baby (April 2000). My hair began to fall out in patches. A friend from church informed me that Depo-Provera was a form of chemo-therapy. I was not informed of this beforehand by my physician. I guess that explained the hair loss. When I looked it up in the medical book I realized she was right. I never took another shot, but continue to have possibly linked side effects. I'm told it stays in your system for months to a year. My joints ache a lot (never had this problem before). I've developed Vitiligo, where my skin has white patches; loss of pigment. The dermatologist said it's of unknown cause, there's no cure, and it will probably spread. I didn't experience this until I took the Depo shot, but probably can't prove a linkage. I had major bouts of depression, initially, but this has gotten much better (Thank God!).

Keep me informed of any actions. I'm willing to participate!

Brenda
