Hi Beth!

Lately things have been off and on, with the OCD and epilepsy. Been very tired lately with seizures in my arm and ear/neck area, mood fluctuations, etc but I'm taking the good with the bad.

Good news is yes, like I was saying to Rudi, I've prayed about the drums and my folks were ok with it. I can play 1/2 hr day and have a practice pad as well which makes little noise, but helps me keep in practice with rudiments of rhythms, and other techniques. Getting the kit set up will take a bit, it is getting old and some of the rims and hoops on the drums are getting brittle and out of round, but nevertheless it is coming along ok and I will be able to play shortly. Thanks for your asking and your prayers.

How have you been Beth? I haven't read your postings yet, as I've been in a bit of a scramble between a number of things and thoughts.

I hope your therapy is coming about ok with the number and all. That is pretty tough facing that fear right off the bat. I recall having to make my hierarchy of things as well and one of them I believe was going on a bus alone. I think I opted out on that one or took a very short bus ride, I did do the mall therapy (going to a busy mall on a Saturday afternoon).

Therapy is a tough thing for an OCDer, and I am really amazed and happy for you that you faced your worst fear head on just like that. I don't have any washing compulsions/contaminations, but I could only imagine how terribly frustrating and anxiety-provoking they must be having to clean and sanitize everything from the number and other things as well. Like me with the mall and the crowds/noise and you with the number, it is indeed a nerve wracking experience to face. It does ease up a bit, at least I can go to a mall now and shop without totally freaking out and having to leave immediately. In time that number will ease up a bit on you too. hang in there! :-)

I pray that God continues to strengthen you as you face the OCD and continue in your therapy treatment.

God Bless

Kix
